Socio-Cultural Environment

Don’t know if you’ve seen the ads for this band ‘Crazy Town’ (what kind of a name is that? no, really?) on bus stops around town, but I just took a look at their site, in particular the ‘Who The Fuck Is Crazy Town’ section (that would be their bio), where I found this nugget:
With the urban squalor of South Central just minutes away from the glamour and glitz of Beverly Hills, the Los Angeles metropolitan area is easily one of the most dynamic and volatile socio-cultural environments on the planet. Therefore, it really should come as no surprise that this location would produce some of the most explosive amd [sic] stylistically synergistic music of the modern era.
I was wondering how they were going to tie that one back to something somehow related to the band. You know, I really can’t get over the name: Crazy Town…’Whoa! Don’t go there!! That’s a CRAZY TOWN!! It’ll mess you up!’

I wonder if they’ve ever been to Dallas.
