And now a brief chat with recent supporter Matt S.!
Matt, hi! When did you start reading TMN? Oh god, how old is TMN?
About 26 years this fall. I'm pretty sure I heard about it as a blog first, maybe from kottke.org. If it started before 2000, then I was still in college. If not, I was working in some “sitting in front of a computer all day” job after college and added it to my RSS feed ages ago. I've been subscribed to the newsletter version also for as long as I can remember you offering it.
We love all of that. Simply put, what keeps you coming back? It's a well-curated newsletter of a dozen or so interesting stories every issue.
We know you’ve supported us several times in the past. Out of curiosity, why did you decide to resume your support today? I had been a paid supporter for a few years, but earlier in the year I had to change the card on file as the old one expired, and forgot to update it for auto-renew. I really appreciate the “no paywall” versions of the links and the yearly subscription rate is very reasonable for some great curated content.
Well, terrific. Again, thank you. Thanks for keeping it going! I look forward to it every day!
