The Clock of the Long Now

Like a Stonehenge in the present day, the Clock of the Long Now is a project to build a clock that can operate for the next 10,000 years.

The project’s director, Alexander Rose: “In trying to design a 10,000-year clock, we’re invested in generational thinking and hoping to answer the question: Are we being good ancestors?”

“The Long Now Foundation was established in 01996.” (See what they did there?)
