All TMN readers big and small are invited, though everyone must be at least 21, and certainly no more than 84. Where, When, Who Royal Oak, a new bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, brought to you by Benjamin & Co., the same guys responsible for Sweet Ups. It is a huge, gorgeous bar (hand-flocked by painter Dan Kopp), and we will have the back room all to ourselves. At last year's party, we had 100+ guests; this year we want to top 150. Readers will include TMN writers from as far as Texas, Connecticut, and Washington D.C., and as close as Park Slope and, well, Williamsburg. Also, there may be special guests. DJs will include DJ RJ and DJ Jason Ray Ladewig. Guests will include the famous, the beautiful, and the rest of us. Walk north on Bedford Avenue to North 11th Street. Turn Right on North 11th, and walk down to the triangle of North 11th, Union, and Roebling (about 2 blocks). Continue down 11th, across Roebling, until it dead-ends into Union. Royal Oak is on the corner of Union & Richardson Street. Note: As of 9/8/03, the Citysearch profile for Royal Oak is incorrect; please do not use it for maps or direction. Another Note: We unfortunately cannot afford an open-bar. (Hence, no cover-charge.) However, the drinks at Royal Oak are delicious and well-made, with lots of fresh ingredients, and not badly priced. Also, we have hired a waitress and extra bartender to meet your needs.
