And now a brief chat with a new Sustaining Member, Marilyn!
Marilyn, hi! You've been following the ToB for a while, right? I've been following along with the Tournament of Books at least since 2015, best I can figure it. Always a delight. I keep coming back because the selections are always interesting, I learn about some books I may have overlooked, it helps me find new works to use in the classes I teach, and, as Contemporary Literature is my passion, this tournament is right up my alley. It's fun and the arguments are enlightening.
That's great to hear. Any reason you decided to become a member today? I figure it's a great support of the arts—as a writer and a teacher, I'm all for that. The added incentive of 50% off the merch was super, too, just as I was looking for a birthday present. I've been impressed by the work you've done over the years, and hope you carry on!
