Sarah, you discovered us through the Tournament of Books, is that it? I found TMN and the ToB in 2016 or 2017. I was living in China and reading more than I ever had because I was somewhat isolated and relying more on hobbies to have things to fill my time. I’ve always struggled with the questions “what are your hobbies/what do you do for fun.” Sharing my set of at-home activities that make me happy has seemed insufficient. Lately, when asked on dating apps, I share about the ToB.
No kidding?! How does it go over? It works well because reading, and preparing for the ToB, does take up a lot of my time, but also because readers and non-readers alike seem interested in the premise.
