And now a brief chat with a recent Sustaining Member, Chris F.!

Chris, how long have you been reading TMN? I've been reading TMN for at least 12 years now, probably more like 13 or 14. I was turned onto your site by someone I was seeing at the time who was something of an early adopter of cool internet stuff such as Metafilter—which, unlike TMN, is no longer part of my routine. Metafilter was quite cool though. I should probably have a look and see how it's doing.

It looks like they're doing well! How often do you read TMN these days? I stop by pretty much daily and read several of the stories you post every week; it's my favorite source of news and interesting stuff to read. I really appreciate you guys and it's cool that you respond to emails. Also, over the last several years I've been reading a lot of contemporary fiction (as opposed to catching up on classics or whatever) and the Tournament of Books has been a great source of recommendations for that. So thanks!

You're welcome! Thanks for chatting with us. Thinking about those 12 or 13 or 14 years just now and that woman I was seeing—man, there was a lot of life crammed in those years.

Fourteen years of thanks to Chris and all of our supporters. Please consider becoming a Sustaining Member or making a one-time donation to make sure TMN and the Tournament of Books are here for years to come. 🌈
