And now a brief chat with a new Sustaining Member, Carrie S.!

Hi, Carrie! When did you start reading TMN? Hi! My friend Adam and I discovered TMN at the dawn of the internet? Then rediscovered a few years ago.

Love it. What brought you back? You guys obviously have great taste and I really appreciate you doing the work for me of seeing what's going on, day to day, on many fronts and subjects that interest me. I also sometimes read Rosecrans's "Meditations" email.

Oh, thank you! Any reason you decided to support today? I've bought a couple of mugs in the past but honestly—I just put my NYT on hold because they're driving me crazy with their doomsday clickbait headlines and non-stop "into the mind of Trump" op-eds. I'm a lifelong supporter of theirs and I appreciate their in-depth reporting but not what I see when I go there every morning. I'm going to spread the $ love around and see what happens, and you were first on my list. It's been a weird few years and with more media in our faces all the time, I'm careful what I let in my brain-space. I'm a film editor and I need to keep some blank canvas up there. I trust your picks. Thank you!
