Lamb’s Pride Wool

Practiced knitters work one season ahead, planning spring sweaters in February and summer shrugs in April, which is why I'm making mittens in October. The best thing about fall knitting is wool, and my new mittens are going to be made of Lamb's Pride wool from Nebraska's family-run Brown Sheep Co. The wool-mohair blend is single-ply, meaning it's easy to work with, and comes in 70 glowing colors, lending a kid-in-a-candy-store feel. (I'm going with ruby red.)
